The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially scheduled balloting for its presidential primary on Friday, October 10, 2025, at its national headquarters in Accra.
This was contained in a statement dated October 8, 2025, and signed by the Secretary to the Presidential Elections Committee, William Yamoah.

“The Chairman of the Committee has directed me to extend an invitation for your participation in a balloting process to determine your positions on the ballot paper for the upcoming January 31st presidential primary,” part of the statement read.

The statement, addressed to the five cleared aspirants: Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, Dr Bryan Acheampong, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, congratulated them on successfully passing the vetting process and urged their cooperation in upholding the party’s democratic principles.
It requested confirmation of receipt of the invitation and encouraged aspirants to reach out for further information or clarification.
