Residents at Bawku in the Upper East region have threatened to embark on a massive demonstration if their poor roads are not fixed, Rainbow Radio’s Justice Issah Anthony has reported.

According to him, the angry residents say roads from Bolga, Bawka and other adjoining localities are in deplorable state.

He said, the former President John Dramani Mahama in 2016, cut sod for the roads to be fixed. However, the contractor, a Chinese has abandoned the project.

The residents have therefore given government and the Ministry of Roads and Highways a three-day ultimatum to respond to their plea or they will embark on a demonstration. They have also threatened to boycott the 2020 general polls.
