Fisherman remanded for killing colleague

Half Assini (W/R), Feb. 9, GNA - The Half Assini district magistrate's court has remanded in prison custody, a fisherman at Effasu near Half Assini in the Western Region, who stabbed his colleague to death and bolted to Cote d'Ivoire.

The plea of Stephen Sae, alias Akwasi Atta, was not taken and the court ordered him to reappear on March 1st this year.

Detective Police Chief Inspector Paul Anaman prosecuting told the court presided over by Mr Hans Kofi Kpogo that Atta the suspect, hails from Abrebeano whilst Kofi Abekah, the deceased, comes from Ekumfi Nakwa, both areas in the Central Region. Both work as fishermen at Effasu.
