Firdaus Foundation organizes free eye screening

Sheikh Salisu Hussein Sualah, Director of Firdaus Foundation for Social Services, has entreated Ghanaians to desist from self-medication.

He stressed the need for every individual to seek professional advice before taking any medicine, warning that self-medication might have adverse effect on one’s health.

Sheikh Sualah said the best option was for one to consult a doctor or a physician in times of indisposition.

He made the call when the Foundation, in collaboration with Eid Charitable Association of Qatar and Crystal Eye Clinic, organized an eye screening exercise at Madina

He said the exercise formed part of the organization’s social responsibility of providing quality health care for the poor and the needy.

Sheikh Saliasu said the Foundation treated more than 2,000 people, and that the 11 patients who needed surgery would be taken care.

He said the organization, established in 2006, had provided support for many communities, including the provision of boreholes.

Sheikh Saliasu said the eye screening would be extended to every part of the country in the ensuing years.
