The Attorney-General will soon introduce to Parliament for consideration and subsequent approval a Bill on Illicit Enrichment.

This Bill, will complement other existing measures put in place to address corruption including the Conduct of Public Officers Bill.

Minister of State in charge of Education Prof. Yankah made the disclosure while addressing a forum on the National Anti-Corruption & Transparency week at LA palm hotel in Accra on Saturday.

He said government remains commited to the fight against corruption and will not compromise on that course.

According to him, the country’s dream of going beyond aid will be a mirage if it does not fight against corruption.

The First deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei Owusu who chaired the event on his part urged the country to focus heavily on building new values and ensure that corrupt officials when caught are punished.
