Farmer slashed to death

Bibiani (W/R) June 17, GNA - The Bibiani police have mounted a manhunt for unknown assailants who slashed the throat of a 36-year-old farm labourer, Kwame Dae to death.

Briefing Ghana News Agency at Bibiani on Friday, Superintendent of Police Francis Enorh, the Bibiani District Police Commander, said the deceased lived alone in his farm house at Sowodadiem, a cottage near Sefwi Bekwai.

On June 13 Kwabena John, who is a friend of the deceased, went to the farm house for a visit but found his friend dead with a deep cut on the throat and blood oozing.

He said this is the fourth murder case recorded in the Bibiani-Ahwiaso-Bekwae District since the beginning of the year.
