The family of late Ghanaian preacher, technological innovator, philanthropist, and agriculturalist, Kwadwo Safo, popularly known as “Kantanka the Africa Star,” has announced details of his final burial rites.
In a statement issued by the family on May 11, 2026, and signed by Dr Philip Siaw Kissi, it was stated that the late Apostle Safo would be laid to rest on June 25, 2026.
“The Family, Children, and the entire Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana solemnly announce the final burial rites (Dote Yie) of their beloved Royal Family Father, Founder, and Spiritual Leader, Apostle Prof. Emeritus Kwadwo Safo.

“The final burial ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026,” part of the statement read.
The statement further appealed to well-wishers and Ghanaians to continue to uphold the family and the Kristo Asafo fraternity in prayers during this difficult period.

It also noted that more details about the late Apostle Safo's burial rites will be communicated later.
“The Family, Children, and the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana humbly appeal to all loved ones, well-wishers, and the good people of Ghana and beyond to continue to uphold the family and the Kristo Asafo fraternity in prayers, love, and solidarity during this difficult period, as preparations are made to bid a befitting farewell to a distinguished son of Africa whose legacy will forever endure,” the statement added.
Apostle Kwadwo Safo passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
His daughter, Sarah Adwoa Safo, confirmed his demise in a statement.
