Exposed: NPP left energy sector with a $54m debt

It is said that the proverbial child who cries to keep his/her mother sleepless overnight, will also not cease having the douche at anus.

This is where the irresponsible and vile propaganda of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in its unwarranted desire to return to power, has landed them; as regards the damning revelation, courtesy, Mr. Alex Mould, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA).

Contrary to claims by the NPP Minority in Parliament that the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government is responsible for the on-going challenges in the energy sector, it has now been revealed that the John Kufuor NPP administration can solely be held responsible for the mess.

According to Mr. Alex Mould, the challenges being encountered presently by the Bulk Oil Distribution Companies (BOST) are as a result of the ineffective and imprudent management on the part of the last NPP government in the energy sector.

The Kufuor administration left behind a debt of $54 million, he revealed; indicating that the mess inherited from the previous regime is what has plunged BOST into its current precarious state.

In addition to the huge sums of money loss caused the state, the NPP ignored all legal procedures, and instead traded with this strategic stock, Mr. Mould disclosed.
