Former Zambian great Kalusha Bwalya has backed the Ghana Football Association (GFA) decision to reappoint Kwesi Appiah as Black Stars coach.

Appiah, 56, was handed the Black Stars coaching job on Tuesday after weeks of search for Avram Grant's replacement.

Many have expressed divergent opinions on the reappointment of the former Al Khartoum trainer, who was deemed to be a failure in his first stint with the team.

Nevertheless, the former African footballer of year offered his backing for the nation's football governing body for giving the job to Appiah once more.

"I support GFA and Kwesi for bringing back coach Kwesi Appiah. I thought he did a great job before and I hope he will come and give his best again. Good luck."
