Ex-NPP MP throws in towel for George Andah

Ex-New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West constituency, Oppey Abbey is backing Nenyi George Andah, formerly with OccupyGhana, to contest the seat on the ticket of the main opposition party.

“I wish to inform all my supporters, well-wishers, as well as the entirety of the NPP membership that I am throwing my full support behind Nenyi George Andah for the Awutu Senya West NPP primaries slot,” Abbey said in a statement.

He added: “Ghanaians, including myself, have to be more concerned about the fate of our country, rather than be concerned about our individual ambitions.

“My support for Nenyi George Andah is premised on the fact that having interacted and engaged with him and the delegates, I know he has the goodwill of the delegates and has consistently displayed the right leadership qualities needed to wrestle the seat from the NDC and improve the fortunes of our nation.”

“Vote massively for George Andah,” Abbey, who lost the seat in the 2012 elections, rallied the supporters.
