Event organizers urged to strictly adhere to Akufo-Addo's latest directives

Executives of the Events Vendors Association of Ghana EVAG, has called on all it's members to duly adhere and respect all the government directives of easing the ban on social gatherings for all Events.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in a televised address on Sunday night, May 31, 2020 announced the changes which he said would be implemented in phases in the coming weeks.

According to him, Beginning Friday, June 5, 2020, a total of 100 people can now attend private burials and wedding ceremonies.

One the back of the government directives, the President of EVAG, kate Hassan called on members to adhere to the 100 persons per Event guild line's provided so not to force government to lockdown the country again.

She also entreat all members saying "all these are supposed to be done whilst observing the physical distancing protocols as well as other protocols to help prevent the spread of the deadly disease".

She also took the opportunity to thank the government for taking such a wonderful decision by making them start operations amidst the challenges since the situation has really affected them for the past months.
