A Ghanaian-owned Digital Transport Solutions company, Enshika has been launched in Ghana in Accra, kickstarting with notable innovation and mind-blowing services for both drivers (who are called Captains) and riders.

Enshika, has announced a nationwide launch covering all 10 regions with first 6 being Greater Accra, Central, Ashanti, Western, Volta and Brong-Ahafo. It is shortly going to cover the remaining 4 regions including Eastern.

Enshika seeks to transform the Ghanaian transport sector with special features and operates on an effective ecosystem where all stakeholders (Captains, Riders, and partners) will benefit from their engagement.

Enshika makes it possible for Captains and riders to save more and have a very low cost of living while driving or enjoying their rides. Aside providing the usual short term and promotional benefits to drivers and riders, Enshika provides a futuristic benefit to make life easy and comfortable for its captains and riders.

At the launch of the new transport service, the Group CEO of Enshika, Mr. Deepak Sachdeva, reiterated that “Enshika is a 100%-Ghanaian brand and the first and possibly the only service in the Western Africa and Sub-Sahara to be also available through USSD for users who do not have access to smart phones. Our aim is to have the transport service available at door step of every Ghanaian regardless of their economical standing, social status or education level. Transport remains a basic need and the wider the spread, the easier it is for the end user to access it.”

According to him, “Enshika has come to stay; Enshika has come to make captains take pride in their chosen profession; Enshika is giving passengers numerous reasons why they should patronize the brand; Enshika is surely taking Ghana across the shores of West & other parts of Africa where it is shortly launching making Ghana really proud of our ability to be a Pan-African Brand.”

He further revealed that “Enshika is oriented not just to be a transportation app but a lifestyle app which covers a 360 - degree aspect of a person’s daily life. This app also offers the convenience in paying your utility bills, school fees payments, catering for your security needs through the SOS button which can be used to alert the Law Enforcement Authorities including the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Fire Service”.

Mr. Sachdeva further indicated that “We always believed that the traditional transport sector needed a level playing field to operate and compete amongst private players and not be left out. We didn't want to come in as another service into the market without being sensitive to the need of our own people, where they feel rewarded and are able to save more, and that is where Enshika has tied up with national associations like GPRTU, CTU and others to ensure that they can now equally get requests and drive to pick up a customer and take them safely to their destination. Enshika has many firsts to it, including USSD, Pass System, Enshika Points, SOS, Medical and Insurance Benefits, Payments etc. We are the first and the only service in the country which is going to do a real-time identification of the user (driver and customer) based on the IDs that they will use to onboard themselves on the app thus making it extremely secure. User can input their Voters ID, Driving License, SSNIT or Ghanaian Passport and we shall be able to extract the true identity thus ensuring that safety is paramount for users of Enshika.”

Sharing the features of the new transport service, Country Manager for Enshika, Mr. Ebenezer Osei mentioned that, “Enshika, customers have the choice of booking for a Mini, Sedan, Gh Taxi and SUVs, adding that ‘it’s also possible for one to reserve a ride for that important meeting or gathering. We have a well trained and equipped drivers and comfortable cars to service our clients irrespective of their social and financial status”, he said.

He also stated that “we have introduced a commission free system where fleet managers and captains of Enshika can now enjoy a 100% commission to themselves by purchasing the Enshika Pass. This allows you to purchase the pass for daily, weekly or monthly use and you don't pay any commissions for the said period”, he added.

He further explained that, customers who sign onto Enshika as captains will have an opportunity to enjoy fuel credit every morning, whiles riders stand the chance of earning points every time they take a ride.

More, Mr. Osei noted that “both captains and riders can also earn more points anytime their referred captains, friends and families signs up to drive or ride with Enshika, indicating that the points accumulated can be redeemed at about 15 outlets on board including some famous names from Hotels, Coffee Shops to Restaurants, Spa and Gyms, where customers can redeem their Enshika Points to get great discounts. According to him, “This is also in line with the directive and initiative by the Government of Ghana to move towards Digital Ghana. Therefore, Enshika is coming at a time when we need them most and I must say I am very happy and impressed about the features it has to offer. The Ghanaian economy is driven by such developments; therefore, it is important we support such projects”.
