Energy Minister and three others honoured

Feyiase (Ash), April 7, GNA - Dr Joe Oteng-Agyei, the Minister of Energy, has been honoured alongside three other key personalities for their outstanding contribution to the development of the Bosomtwe District.

They are Mr Simon Osei-Mensah, the Member of Parliament (MP), Mr Edward Nti-Berko, the District Chief Executive and Mr William Awuni, the District Director of Education.

They received gifts and citation at a ceremony held by the chiefs and people of Feyiase to recognize them for the good job they were doing to bring progress to the area.

Nana Osei Kufour, Feyiasehene, said they were appreciative of the commitment, hard work and the leadership they were providing to improve the socio-economic conditions in the various communities. He said they were "a good example and inspirational to the people." Dr Oteng-Agyei said they were grateful and pledged continued support towards the progress of the district.

He called on the people to unite behind the district assembly in the implementation of its development programmes. The Energy Minister later handed over a new pick-up vehicle donated by the government to the District Police Command.
