Former Ghana international, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu believes Andre Dede Ayew still has a role to play for the Black Stars at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking about the experienced attacker’s current form, Badu expressed confidence in Ayew’s ability, pointing to his recent performances and goal-scoring contributions.
“My brother Andre Dede Ayew is playing well and scoring goals, so if the coach thinks his philosophy and game plan will fit him, then why not,” Badu said.
Ayew, one of Ghana’s most experienced players, has long been a key figure for the Black Stars, bringing leadership and crucial goals during major international competitions.
Badu maintains that, despite ongoing debates about the team’s future direction and the inclusion of younger players, selection should be based primarily on performance and tactical fit.
The former midfielder added that Ayew’s experience could still be an important asset to the squad, particularly as Ghana prepares for the challenges of the upcoming World Cup.
