Election 2012: “You Can’t Rise Against God And Go Scot-Free”

“God is not a man that he should lie. He is faithful and just and whatever He has said will surely come to pass,” said His Servant Bismark Opesah Otoo, President of Jesus Delivery Ministries who prophesized a one-touch victory for the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo prior to the just-ended presidential and parliamentary elections.

He said from all indications the main opposition leader won the December 7 elections, but some people decided to skew the results in favour of the incumbent president.

Prophet Otoo who predicted that Nana Akufo-Addo would win the elections by not less than 52percent prior to the election on Wednesday told DAILY GUIDE that God was about to do something that would marvel the people of Ghana in the days ahead.

Rev. Owusu Bempah of Glorious Word Power Ministries, Odokor, Accra, had also predicted that Nana Akufo-Addo would win but might not be declared the winner.

According to him, any person who tried to prevent the will and purpose of God from prevailing would surely pay for it, saying “You can’t rise against God and go scot-free.”

He charged the government and the security agencies to do what was right in order to ensure absolute peace in the country. He indicated: “The truth is the truth; the authorities should make sure that the peace we are enjoying is not jeopardized by their actions and inactions.”

Prophet Otoo noted that Christians, Muslims and other religious bodies in Ghana have been praying so much for the peace of the country and therefore persons who wanted to take the peace we have for granted would incur the wrath of God.

He stated that for peace to prevail, justice could not be underestimated and the citizenry had to be made aware of that, explaining that one could not preach peace without backing it with action.

The prophet indicated that those who stood against justice delivery would be punished because God is just.

He also noted that those in authority who mocked and spoke blasphemy against God would be lowered and their end will be disastrous if they did not confess their bad deeds and asked forgiveness of sin from God and the people of Ghana.

Prophet Otoo urged the National Peace Council to be fair and firm in their handling of issues in the aftermath of the elections so that all parties would find solace in their wise counsel to ensure justice and total peace.
