Three elders representing the families of Okai, Welbeck, and Thompson in the Nyan Abodiamo families have vehemently disowned the recent press conference held by Rojo Mettle-Nunoo.

The press conference, which took place on April 20th, 2024, was characterized by allegations against the legitimacy of Nii Ayi-Bonte II as Gbese Mantse.

In a detailed statement issued by the elders, they clarified that the selection and installation of Nii Ayi-Bonte II were conducted in accordance with the 1992 Constitution of Ghana and after a protracted legal battle spanning over thirty-eight years. They emphasized that Rojo Mettle-Nunoo's assertions were baseless and lacked support from legitimate authorities within the community.

Furthermore, the elders expressed deep disappointment in Rojo Mettle-Nunoo's actions, stating that he acted solely in his personal capacity without consulting or obtaining consent from the principal elders of the family. They highlighted Rojo Mettle-Nunoo's neglect of his responsibilities since January 2022 and his subsequent expulsion from the family.

The statement also addressed an incident where Rojo Mettle-Nunoo allegedly defied traditional customs by wearing black clothing and entering the community accompanied by police officers.

Despite efforts by Nii Ayi-Bonte II to mediate and reconcile the feuding parties, Rojo Mettle-Nunoo reportedly refused to cooperate, leading to further tension within the community.

The elders urged all members of the Nyan Abodiamo W3/Kreshie W3 community to disregard Rojo Mettle-Nunoo's actions and remain calm, assuring them that there is no cause for alarm as Nii Ayi-Bonte II is the legitimate Gbese Mantse.
