The El Wak Sports Stadium is currently in a very deplorable state which has caused football lovers to tag the military facility as a death trap.

El Wak became the interim home grounds for Ghana Premier League club Inter Allies after they vacated the Tema stadium and also serves as the event grounds for Senior High Inter-Schools sports games which helps to unearth National talents.

But however Spectators are not happy with the nature of the stadium because many of the seats have worn out; posing as a death trap to fans.

On the other hand the pitch has also lost its original green texture and has not been leveled for months.

Meanwhile the athletic track which serves as a training ground to up and coming athletes is also not in good condition.

Located in the heart of the capital, Cantoments, the El-Wak Sports Stadium is one of the few multi-use standard sporting facilities in the country and it is managed by the military.

El-Wak as a facility supports a wide range of sports including track racing, football, tennis, basketball, handball and other sporting disciplines.

The Spectators are therefore calling on the caretakers of the stadium to come to the aid of the aging facility before it collapses.
