The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has reportedly arrested Kofi Akpaloo, a presidential candidate in the 2024 Election and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG).
According to a report by citinewsroom.com, the arrest of Kofi Akpaloo has been confirmed by his family members.
The report indicated that Citi News’ family sources disclosed that he was picked up from his home in Kumasi.

They said they do not know the reasons behind his arrest, adding that his current whereabouts are unknown.
The Economic and Organised Crime Office is, however, yet to comment on the reports of the arrest of the presidential candidate.
It is worth stating that Akpaloo has publicly stated that he was awarded contracts by the former Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government.
However, GhanaWeb cannot confirm whether his arrest was linked to any of the contracts he was offered by the previous government.
Kofi Akpaloo is a contractor and a businessman and a familiar figure in Ghana’s apolitical landscape.
