At New Edubiase in the Ashanti Region, the Very Reverend Kwabena Osei-Owusu, Superintendent Minister of the New Edubiase Circuit of the Methodist Church has urged Christians to draw inspiration and strength from the resurrection of Jesus Christ and stand firm in their faith. He told them not to give up in the face of challenges and social difficulties but to have confidence and trust that God would see them through.
The Reverend Osei-Owusu, who was delivering the sermon at an Easter service at New Edubiase in the Adansi South District, also encouraged them to put their talents at the disposal of the nation. He said it was important for them to be selfless, honest, discipline and patriotic, reminding them that, every Ghanaian shared in the responsibility of making the country a better place than they found it.
He advised that Easter should make mankind a new creation, imbued with love, peace, forgiveness and unity. The Superintendent Minister therefore called for national unity and said it was time the people did away with intolerance and other negative tendencies that had the potential to disturb the peace of the country.
The Very Rev Osei-Owusu asked Christians to make Christ their role model and to live by His teachings.
