EP University College in place

Ho, Nov 3, GNA - The Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) University College has taken off with the establishment of its administrative offices in Ho.

Mr Walter Blege, Interim President of the University College, announced this during a briefing of the Church's Synod Committee at Ho, according to a press release issued by the Synod Clerk, Rev Frank Anku on Friday.

The release described the move as "the good news" for the Church and people of the Volta region and Ghana at large, adding that the purpose of the establishment of the administrative unit was to pursue the accreditation process and prepare the ground for student admissions. It said members of the Synod Committee had been briefed on the start-up programmes of the college, covering Business Administration and Agribusiness.

It said members were also briefed on steps being taken towards the establishment of University Council to facilitate governance of the college and push fundraising and other financial resource measures further forward.

It cited the E.P. Seminary at Peki as a campus of the University College and that the library and programmes of the Seminary had been updated to offer degree courses in Theology and Church Administration. The release named Mr S.W.K. Buami, the Registrar and Mr Kofi Adzroe, Development Officer of the Church, as some members of the Interim Administrative Team.
