EDA donates to Ejisu Government Hospital

Ejisu (Ash), March 17, GNA - The Ejisu Development Association (EDA) has donated three double-doors refrigerators and three automatic voltage regulators worth GH¢5,000 to the Ejisu Government Hospital. The items were purchased from the funds generated at last year's Easter Harvest organized by the Association at Ejisu.

Mr Kwame Kyeremanteng Mensah Aborampah, Ghana Country Director of EDA, who presented the items promised to team up with the traditional authority and other state institutions to boost the developmental projects in the municipality to uplift the image of the town. Nana Afrane Okese IV, who witnessed the presentation ceremony, commended EDA members both at home and abroad for the gesture. He entreated the hospital authority to use the items to serve their clients and also take care of them to prolong their life span. He promised to help to improve the facilities and conditions at the hospital to befit its status as a municipal hospital. He used the opportunity to tour the hospital to find out some of the challenges and how to help address them.

Mr Agyenim Boateng, Senior Medical Assistance in-charge of the hospital expressed gratitude to the group members for coming to the aid of the hospital and appealed to other individuals and groups in the area to learn from what the EDA had done to reduce government burdens. He promised to use the items for its intended purpose to provide quality health care to the people in the area.

He appealed to the Association to help them purchase a vehicle for the hospital, since they did not have any official vehicle and depend on commercial vehicles for day to day activities at the hospital.
