Driver jailed 15 years for defiling stepdaughter.

Tema, Feb. 21, GNA- A driver who defiled his 14-year-old step daughter was at the weekend sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by the Tema Circuit Court "B".

Kwasi Aikins pleaded not guilty to defiling his stepdaughter who is in school.

Chief Police Inspector Ben Agbedanu, prosecuting, told the court presided over by Mr Stephen Teye that both the driver and his stepdaughter lived in the same room in Michel Camp.

He said in 2002, Aikins on several occasions had affair with the stepdaughter and she became pregnant so in 2003 he took her to a hospital in Tema and terminated the pregnancy and on April 14, 2003, the mother of the victim travelled and left her in the hands of the accused. Inspector Agbedanu said at about 2 a.m., Aikins attempted having sex with the girl again however, this time, the victim came out and started crying.

The girl later told her story about how her step father had sex with her and a report was made to the Ashaiman police.
