A 24-year-old driver, Emmanuel Kwoffie, has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in hard labour for stealing one Sumsung Television set and a Multi TV decoder valued at 1,150.00 Ghana cedis by a Tarkwa circuit court.
He pleaded guilty.

According to the Prosecutor, on August 8, this year, at about 1:15 p. m., one Emmanuel Awortwe, a tenant in the complainant’s house returned home from town and found out that the complainants room had been broken into.
Detective Amponsah said when the tenant entered the room he detected that a Samsung Television set and a Multi TV decoder had been stolen and called the complainant who was at work on phone and informed him about the theft.
Detective Amponsah said the tenant earlier on saw the convict roaming around the area with a bag at his back and suspected him to be the culprit.
He said the tenant immediately raised the alarm and with the help of neighbours Kwoffie was arrested and when the bag was searched they found the Multi TV decoder in it.
He said the Samsung Television set was later retrieved from an uncompleted building nearby.
