The health sector in Ghana has welcomed a new leader with the appointment of Dr. Winfred Korletey Baah as the Acting Registrar of the Health Facilities Regulatory Agency (HeFRA).

Daniel Asamoah (PhD) of HeFRA, leading the staff of the agency, extended congratulations to Dr. Baah on his appointment.

“Dr. Baah's appointment is a testament to his outstanding leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the progress and development of Ghana.

“As a well-cultured personality and public servant, he has consistently demonstrated the ability to unite diverse groups and contribute to the advancement of national goals, the health sector, and the welfare of vulnerable individuals in society,” he said in a statement.

Dr. Baah has made significant contributions in his previous role as the Greater Accra Regional Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association.

His educational background includes being a fellow of the West African College of Physicians and holding a master's degree in public health from the University of Ghana.

He also has certificates in Health Administration and Management from GIMPA, Leadership in Health from the University of Washington, and Health Quality Systems from Fayoum University in Egypt.

Daniel Asamoah expressed confidence in Dr. Baah's ability to excel in his new role and continue making a positive impact on leadership and healthcare regulations in Ghana.

As Dr. Baah takes on his new role, Daniel Asamoah, friends, and Dr. Bawa extend their warm wishes to their new boss and friend, looking forward to his continued success in the service of Ghana.
