Dr Sakara resumes campaign after Melcom disaster

Dr Abu Sakara, 2012 Presidential Candidate of the Convention People’s Party has said this year’s general elections present Ghanaians the opportunity to choose visionary leaders under whose governance the country would work again.

“Vote for leaders who will hit the road to the attainment of economic emancipation and transformational development”.

Dr Sakara stated that if Ghanaians choose visionary leaders, they will use their vision and expertise to shape a destiny of endless opportunities for every citizen through transformational development. He indicated, should Ghanaians maintain the status quo by voting to sustain the duopoly which has characterized our political and socio-economic governance in the last two decades, we would have opted for a failed Nation with dire consequences for all.

“Election 2012 is therefore not business as usual, it is a serious decision making point and all Ghanaians must give it a deep thought before that vital vote is cast,” Dr Sakara lamented.

“I am of great conviction that Ghanaians are looking for visionary leaders who will use the numerous God given national resources to the benefit of all and not for few. This year’s election provides us the opportunity to change our own destiny and therefore we must not choose stagnation any more. Let us decide a new way forward for our own lives, for our children, our husbands and wives, our family and above all our Country.”

On his campaign so far, Dr Abu Sakara said his message of a new way forward has gone down well with the electorates he has been interacting with over the past months.

Dr Sakara commended his running mate Nana Akosua Frimponmaa Sarpong Kumankumah for her exemplary display at the IEA Vice Presidential Candidate Debate held in the Western Regional Capital, Takoadi. “Nana Frimponmaa was able to explain every question to the understanding of all. This is a vice president Ghanaains should look out for hence the need to vote for the CPP.”

The CPP 2012 Presidential Candidate resumed his campaign on Saturday 10th November 2012, three days after he suspended all activities following the Melcom disaster.

Dr Sakara would on Monday 12 of November 2012, move to the Eastern Region to campaign. He will be touring Aburi, Nsawam, Koforidua, Suhum, Nkawkaw, Mpreaso and some other areas in the Region. He will be addressing mini rallies at the various polling stations and constituencies.
