People from around the world have taken to twitter to question the silence of US President, Donald Trump, on the death of former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan.
Past and present world leaders took to social media or released statements on the passing of the Nobel Peace Prize winner as soon as the news of his death was made public.
Celebrities across the globe from the movie and music industries, models, footballers, renowned journalists as well as ordinary global citizens wrote messages of condolence and tributes to celebrate the life and memory of Mr Annan.
However, the world’s most powerful leader has been silent on the passing of the Ghanaian diplomat. His tweeps took to twitter to question his silence.
Below are some of the tweets:
Where is you statement on the death of Former U.N. Secretary-General and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Kofi Annan? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

The reason I bring that to your attention is because a decent man and a President would offer some kind of tribute. Just sayin'.
How about thanking folks like #JohnMcCain for his service to our country? Or #KofiAnnan for his service to the world?

Once again, you demonstrate your lack of dignity, your boorishness, and your embodiment of the word "schlub."
I doubt he has any idea who Kofi Annan was Remember our reek wasn’t a good student and has little knowledge of geography , history , world politics basically ignorant

Dear Donald DumDum don’t forget to send your obligatory thoughts and prayers to the family of Kofi Annan, I realize he wasn’t a member of the Deplorables and didn’t say nice things about Trump

@realDonaldTrump tells "fake news" reporters that #PaulManafort is a "very good person," and the trial is "very sad." You know what is "very sad?" Not one word about the great Kofi Annan.
