Don’t pamper children – Prophet

Prophet Dr Alfred Akakpo, Leader and Founder of Alfred Omega Miracle Prayer House, has advised parents not to pamper their children whenever they went wayward.

He reminded parents that in the Ten Commandments, God asked the young to respect the elderly, and for that matter no parent should look on unconcerned, for the younger generation to look down on the elderly in society.

Prophet Akakpo gave the advice when he delivered a sermon at a healing service, to round off a three-week crusade of the Prayer House at Omenako near Suhum.

He urged Christians to remain faithful to God, and lead morally upright lives.

Prophet Akakpo said even though Christ enjoined Christians to spread the Gospel, they should not take advantage to go round and commit crimes like rape and fraud, and give false prophecies in the name of God.

He also enjoined them to make voluntary donations and sacrifices to the poor and needy in society, in order to improve their standards of living.
