Don’t free Nyantakyi – ‘Wee’ smokers threaten Akufo- Addo

Members of the Wee Smokers Association of Ghana (WSAG) have threatened to hit the streets of Accra to march against President Nana Akufo-Addo if the embattled president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi is not convicted for comments he allegedly made in a yet-to-be-aired documentary by ace investigator Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

In a viral video speculating on social media, an unidentified person who claims to be a member of the 'Wee' Smokers Association of Ghana is seen expressing his displeasure about the ongoing investigations on Kwesi Nyantakyi who is facing a charge of defrauding by false pretence.

According to the ‘proud’ 'wee' smoker, it will be prudent for President Akufo-Addo and his NPP government to legalise the substance since it is an open secret that a lot of people in the country use it.

He noted that members of the Wee Smokers Association of Ghana will not hesitate to flout any set rules banning the smoking of the plant indiscriminately if justice is not served in the case involving the GFA boss who supposedly used the name of president Akufo-Addo to extort monies from undercover agents who posed as businessmen in Morocco.

“If Nyantakyi is not arrested by the end of the investigations by the CID, wee smokers in Ghana will not hesitate to smoke publicly, we will not waste time for Akufo-Addo to discuss with his law makers in parliament for any weed legalisation, we will smoke on the streets freely,” says the unknown member of the Weed association of Ghana.



Kwesi Nyantakyi has been a huge subject of criticism and ridicule over the past few days after the Police CID triggered an arrest order following a complaint of fraud made against him by the president of Ghana. He has been cartooned, trolled with the caricature of the president in his pocket.

The FA president had been caught in an investigative piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas in which he was seen using the name of the president and the vice president to solicit money from prospective investors.
