Don’t blame youth who stormed Bempah’s church - Ernesto Yeboah

Ernesto Yeboah Ernesto Yeboah

A leading member of the Economic Fighters League and Youth Advocate, Ernesto Yeboah, has taken to the cleaners individuals who have described some irate youth who stormed the Odorkor branch of Prophet Owusu Bempah’s church over his death prophecies as irrational.

In the view of the outspoken young politician, the youth who stormed the church cannot be faulted.

According to Ernesto Yeboah, when we have a political class taking power away from the people instead of giving power to them, violent eruptions sometimes become the only option.

“In a fake democracy such as ours – a democracy that takes power away from the people rather than power to the people, violent eruptions sometimes become the only legitimate expression of the power of the people.”

The political class he laments have endorsed the activities of charlatans like Prophet Owusu Bempah and to extent that he has become the President’s favourite prophet, we will continue to witness these kind of stupidity by charlatans calling themselves men of God.

Some of you have been programmed to condemn anything that looks like violence without critical interrogation. You are not the focus of my post. I am speaking to people who have an open mind- a mind that questions rather than one that just follows. This includes what you are about to read.

There’s an attempt to make the Muslim Youth who stormed Owusu Bempah’s church appear irrational. Well, in my opinion they are not. When you have a political class that is a direct beneficiary of the opium effect of religion on the minds of the people, you will understand their deliberate inaction as they sit and watch quietly the stupidity being heaped upon our heads by some charlatans and criminal merchants who call themselves men of God.

In a fake democracy such as ours – a democracy that takes power away from the people rather than power to the people, violent eruptions sometimes become the only legitimate expression of the power of the people.

There’s a CLASS dimension here that must not be overlooked. While the political class fully endorse the stupidity of these charlatans, Owusu Bempah, in particular is the personal prophet of Mr. Nana Akuffo Addo, who happens to be our President. So his impunity must be well understood.

And finally, be reminded, that, with a criminally imposed 1992 constitution firmly in place, the state remains captured, and will not and cannot act responsibly as required or expected of every civilized society.
