The Most Rev. Bishop Osei Bonsu, Chairman of the Catholic Bishop's Conference has bemoaned the level of corruption in the country and has called on Ghanaians not to blame politicians alone for the canker.

Speaking in an interview with Kwame Tutu on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, the Bishop said, corruption is now widespread due to lack of discipline, good training and insincerity on the part of those engage in the act.

He noted, corruption cannot be resolved if offenders or persons cited for are not sanctioned.

Most Rev. Bishop Osei Bonsu said Ghana has the finest of laws in books, but implementing them remain a challenge for the country, a situation he said has increased the level of corruption in "our society".

According to him, despite efforts by the Church in sensitizing members to eschew corruption, yet some Christians do not live by their Christian values and teachings but rather enrages in corrupt practices more.

Most Rev. Bishop Bonsu admonished Ghanaians to join the fight against corruption, and blacklist people who influence them negatively to engage in corrupt acts.
