Disclose true cost of Terminal 3 - Manaf Ibrahim dares Mahama

Director of Political Affairs at the Presidency, Manaf Ibrahim is challenging former President John Dramamni Mahama and his administration to disclose the full cost of the new Terminal 3 at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).

Many who have used the facility since it was opened for operations, are hailing the previous administration for a good job done but others feel the entire contract sum was bloated and there is the need for a proper audit to determine the actual amount sunk into the magnificent edifice.

Controversial Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong in his recent outburst claimed the figure bandied around as cost of the project is outrageous and does not demonstrate value for money in his estimation.

According to him, the 278 million dollars purported to have been spent on one project is outrageous and should not be accepted, reiterating there is no value for money.

“There is no value for money for that project. You can’t tell me you spent 278 million dollars on one Terminal. How much did Heathrow cost,” he quizzed.

“One terminal at 278 million Dollars? I deliberately went to count the hangars, just seven. Do you know what 278 million US Dollars can do? That is not what they did. Do you know what 278 million dollars can do? These guys are greedy.”
