Disassociate yourself from Owusu Bempah - MP tells Akufo-Addo

Pressure continues to mount on the leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministries International, Reverend Owusu Bempah after his infamous 31st December watch night service prophesies.

The popular 'Man of God' on Wednesday witnessed the destruction to one of the churches as angry youth believed to be Muslims attacked the property to express their displeasure at his prediction of the death of the National Chief Imam.

The prophecies have led many to question his competence as a 'Man of God' and divided many religious people.

The latest to add his voice to the ongoing discourse is former Minister of State at the Presidency and current MP for Builsa South, Clement Apaak.

The Legislator has challenged President Akufo-Addo to openly denounce the Man of God as they are believed to be close friends.

Clement Apaak insists the prophecies by the leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministries were 'provocative' and divisive which has negative tendencies for the unity of the country.

Below is the post by the Builsa South MP:

Mr. President, Ghanaians expect you to publicly disassociate yourself from "Rev." Owusu Bempah. Sir, you can't remain silent when our social cohesion and national security is threatened by provocative pronouncements made by a "Man of God" widely perceived as your prophet/pastor! Indeed your close association with Owusu Bempah is well documented! I remain a citizen.
