Deputy Local Government minister inspects KMA Paediatric Centre

The Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, has paid a brief visit to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to inspect ongoing works on the paediatric centre at the KMA Clinic.

The Deputy Minister, who was in Kumasi on other official duties, took time out of her busy schedule to pay a courtesy call on the Mayor of Kumasi.

At the paediatric centre project site, she commended the progress of work and urged the Assembly to maintain the momentum.

The KMA is constructing a modern facility for paediatric care, including staff bungalows and auxiliary facilities, to enhance healthcare delivery in the city. The project is being funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF).

She further advised management to support the Mayor, Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi, to succeed in office.

She also urged the Mayor to maintain a cordial relationship with staff and Assembly members, noting that their support is crucial for effective leadership and development.

"I urge the entire management, Assembly members, and staff to continue supporting the Mayor to succeed. In the same way, I urge the Mayor to further strengthen the cordial relationship he has with Assembly staff. This is the only way we can ensure rapid development," she said.

On behalf of the staff, Francis Dwira Darko, the Metro Coordinating Director, pledged their unflinching support to the Mayor, acknowledging that he has been very supportive in the discharge of their duties since assuming office.
