Defeated NPP Executives form a movement

The NPP regional and constituency elections might be over but issues are still unfolding at Ejura in the Ashanti Region where defeated executives have formed a new movement called “Concern Youth of NPP”.

The secretary of the group, Mr. Idrisu Kofi Tawiah who is also a polling agent, said the movement constitutes a clique of executives and foot- soldiers who feel side-lined and cheated in the just ended internal elections. Their decision is to draw an official attention to the leaders of the party to step in and intervene to save the party in 2016.

He said "we formed this group because most of our names were expunged from the original album that was supposed to be presented to the regional level for nominations and elections".

Mr. Tawiah suspects that some of the clandestine acts are masterminded and sometimes perpetrated by the Member of Parliament for the area. He emphasized that, the Concern Youth of NPP is to fight nobody but to save the party from "babies in politics" and to ferret out ways to maintain the seat again in the 2016 elections.

Among other things, the group demands to know why the MP would openly declare his support for Mr. Steven Ntim for the party National chairmanship position. They believed that act would deny the executives in the area the chance to listen to the other contestants for the same post.

Mr. Kofi Tawiah counted that, the group can currently boast of over 600 card bearing members of the NPP and are always open for any official dialogue on measures to win power again.
