It’s been almost a month, since a haulage truck with registration number GT 559 U got stuck in the beams underneath the Ashiaman overpass on the Accra-side of the Tema-Accra motorway, posing danger to drivers and pedestrians who use the bridge daily.

The truck which was transporting Biomass Fired Steam Boiler meant for a toilet tissue paper manufacturing company at Buduburam in the Central Region had exceeded the 5-meter height, thereby getting stuck under the overpass.

Upon visit to the site on Tuesday Ghanaweb found out that no repair works have been done almost a month since the incident.

Instead, a brown cardboard paper had been used to cover the damaged area.

The Ashaiman overpass has very visible damaged marks, and authorities are entreated to fix it before it causes a greater damage to drivers who ply that side of the motorway daily.

As at the time of publishing this story, attempts at getting authorities to speak on the issue was unsuccessful.
