Students and staff of Dan – Ibu International School in Wa at the weekend celebrated their silver jubilee anniversary.
The school, one of the best private schools in the region had built an enviable name for itself, with good record of results in the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE), since its establishment.
Dr Musheibu Alfa Mohammed, Deputy Upper West Regional Minister who was the guest of honour, congratulated the management and staff for always recording good results in the BECE.
He appealed to parents to take proper care of their children and endeavour to provide them with their basic needs to help enhance learning.
Dr Alfa congratulated the award winners of the day, most of which were girls, and encouraged the rest to put in more efforts to also win similar awards in future.
He stressed on the importance of effective collaboration from the private sector to partner government’s programmes, to ensure universal access to education for all at the basic level.
Dr Alfa challenged the pupils to study hard to become responsible adults in future and also uplift the name of the school than it was now.
Mr Mumuni A. Seidu, founder of the school, praised the staff for helping to build a good reputation for the school, and urged teachers, parents and students to work as a team to achieve excellence at all times.
