The Graphic in a lead front page story reports that the Private Enterprise Foundation (PEF), has urged the government to devote this year's budget to the implementation of the action plans adopted at the National Economic Forum. The foundation, the paper says, contended that given the current state of the economy and the broad consensus achieved at the forum, it is very necessary that the government goes strictly according to the action plans adopted. "Immigration cautions foreigners", is a front page headline in the Graphic whose story says the Ghana Immigration Service has warned it will not take kindly to any foreigner who displays racist and disrespectful tendencies towards Ghanaians. The Graphic says the Immigration Service has accordingly cautioned all foreigners to be of good behaviour. It has also entreated heads of embassies and high commissions in Ghana to advise their nationals accordingly.

In another front page story, the Graphic reports that reckless or dangerous driving is to attract 10 years imprisonment with the option of a fine, under the Road Traffic Amendment Bill now before Parliament. Under the heading: "Reckless driving to attract 10 years imprisonment", the bill said anyone who drives a motor vehicle recklessly at a speed or in a manner dangerous to public because of the nature of the road, the amount of traffic which is usual or might reasonably be expected, will be guilty of reckless or dangerous driving. The Minority Group in Parliament has appealed to President Jerry John Rawlings to set up a Presidential Commission to re-probe the Keta Sea Defence Project which it said has cost the nation 11 billion cedis reports the Graphic. The paper quotes the Minority Group as saying, "The Minority Group sincerely believes that President Rawlings is a man of high integrity who cherishes transparency, probity and accountability and therefore, urges him to step into the matter to prevent a cover-up or the whitewash of the Ampofo Committee report submitted to the Ministry of Works and Housing on the Project".
