Crowd show anger over serial killings

A highly charged crowd besieged the Tema Community One Police Station early this morning, on hearing that two men had been arrested on suspicion of being serial killers. The suspects, using a tainted glassed black Lancia Dedra car with registration number GT 6943 R were arrested after midnight upon a tip off, when they picked two women at Site 18 in Tema.

The two men, Joe Reindorf, a Ghanaian and Okechukwu Rufus Prince, a Nigerian were trailed and arrested at Sabrina Hotel at Community One. The incensed crowd desperately wanted to catch a glimpse of the suspects, whom they believed could provide the needed vital link, to help the police in solving the mystery surrounding the killing of 30 women in the Accra Metropolis over the past three years. As at 10 a. m., large crowds of people were still hanging around the police station whilst more people rushed there on hearing of the arrest.
The police had a hectic time controlling the crowd. According to the Tema Regional Police Commander, Mr Selywn Bart-Mettle, the police had information that a black Lancia Dedra car with tainted glasses, being driven by suspected serial killers had picked up two women from Site 18 in Tema at about 1 a. m. He said the informant, then trailed the car in a taxi to the Sabrina Hotel whilst the police followed up to the hotel, where they arrested the two men, together with the two women both of whom had the same name Stella, for questioning.
According to the police, they rather suspect the two men to be members of the 419 syndicate who have been defrauding unsuspecting members of the public. Some of the documents found on them had company names like "One World Diplomatic Company" and "One World Security Company" based in Kpalime. Togo. The Nigerian, Rufus Prince and the two women are in custody at the Community One Police Station whilst the Ghanaian is being kept at the Newtown Police Station.
