A 22-year old commercial motor rider suspected of been involved in a recent armed robbery at Ada-Foah, has been remanded in prison custody by a Magistrate Court at Ada.

John Kpodo pleaded not guilty and would be brought before the Court again on July 31, this year.

The prosecution told the Court, presided over by Mr. Isaac Adjei that the suspect lived at Ada-Foah, where the victim, the wife of the 2016 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Ada East, also resided.

The prosecution said in the night of June 15, this year, three unidentified gunmen stormed the resident of the Parliamentary Candidate, attacked his wife, Mrs. Florence Afertogbor and other occupants, robbing them of various sums of money amounting to CFA8,500, $1,000 and GHC3,200 before bolting away.

Police investigations later led to the arrest of Kpodo, who subsequently was identified by one of the victims during a police identification parade as one of their attackers.
