Weekend Today has learnt that the police are hunting for two suspected visa fraudsters.

The two who are on the police wanted list are 37-year-old Mr Jordan Pedro and Kwabena Kesse, 33.

The hunt for the two suspects, Weekend Today understands, follows a warrant issued by an Accra District Magistrate Court on December 16, 2017 for their immediate arrest.

Both are being accused of allegedly defrauding by false pretense contrary to section 131 of the Criminal and Other Offenses Act, 1960 (Act 29).

A statement issued by the Public Affairs Unit, Accra Regional Police Headquarters on December 18, 2017 and signed by its Head, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Effia Tenge, stated that Mr Pedro is alleged to have collected an amount of GH¢24,000 from the complainant under the guise of securing her daughter a visa but failed to do so.

According to the police statement, Mr Pedro, who is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and dark in complexion, was last seen at Abossey Okai (Ayigbe Town) on November 14, 2017.

For Kwabena Kesse whose case is similar to that of Mr Pedro, the statement said he allegedly collected an amount of GH¢38,000.00 from his victim under the pretext of getting him a visa. But unfortunately, Mr Kesse disappeared, the statement noted.

Mr. Kesse, the statement revealed, stands at 5 feet, 10 inches tall and dark in colour, was last seen in Nsawam, Eastern Region.

Against this backdrop, the police urged the public with information about the whereabouts of the two suspects to report to the nearest police station.
