Two men, , have been Joseph Nii Laryea Adjei and Ali Ibrahim granted bail of GH¢800,000 each by the Accra Circuit Court for allegedly causing damage to a fence wall worth GH¢1,541,368, belonging to a private company.
Two out of six defendants appeared before the Accra Circuit Court on charges of conspiracy to commit crime and unlawful property damage, while the remaining four were absent, according to a GNA report.
The land dispute case involving the company and six individuals, including Joseph Laryea Adjei, has been adjourned to July 7, 2025, by the Accra Circuit Court.
According to the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Seth Frimpong, the accused damaged the company's property, including a fenced wall and a security post, on two separate occasions, despite ongoing litigation.
The dispute centres on a 100-acre land at Addoteiman, with Joseph Nii Laryea Adjei claiming ownership.
The court's decision to grant bail to the accused has sparked interest in the case, the report added.
The case's adjournment to July 7, 2025, is expected to provide further insight into the matter.
