Corruption At the National Treasury

Mr. President, act now! Whenever some increases towards pensioners meagre allowances are made officials at the Treasury take the opportunity to delay their implementation. 'Fish Pond' the officials name the increases, because if one does not travel down to Accra and offer not less than ?100,000 one does not expect his or her pension on time.

Mr. President, just imagine a responsible pensioner on not more than ?100,000 allowance per month travels to Accra making necessary arrangements with this allowance, how can he or she survive? Some are disabled, others deformed by stroke.

Some have already received theirs in not more than three months of their implementations while others are yet to.

Ask a friend who is enjoying the increases and he will tell you this: "My friend I went to the Treasury and made some special arrangement with some of the officials."

Mr. President, the officials treat pensioners as a lump of sugar in the ocean. Your fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters are crying for help. Kindly step in for us, my smiling president. Thanks for doing so.
