Coronavirus: Akufo-Addo stole and implemented ideas of NDC, Mahama – Suhuyini

Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale South, Alhaji Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini says he is shocked Ghanaians are hailing Akufo-Addo for ideas he copied from people and immediately implemented them.

The President of Ghana in his fifth update on COVID-19 announced some measures put in place by the government to ensure Ghanaians are provided with quality of life during this period.

The President during his address mentioned that the government is mobilizing private and public owners of tankers to provide water for the vulnerable in areas where there is no water.

He also announced that there will be constant flow of water and that the government has taken charge of payment for three month of water supply.

The President said in conjuction with the Ministry of Transport, Health workers who live in Accra, Tema, Kumasi and Kasoa will be provided with transportation along certain routes to and from work in the restriction period.

The government has waived taxes off the salaries of frontline health worker adding that they will be paid 50% allowance of their base salaries.

Reacting to the jubilation and trolls on social media, the lawmaker said: “Well all you those who have been preaching 'no politics' in Covid-19 fight, are you reading the NPP comments about Mahama and the NDC? because the president listened and adopted ideas from Citifm/TV on the govt condemned Ayalolo buses? Now I hope they don’t fool you again”.
