Government is seriously engaging the Danish authorities in bilateral talks for economic growth, following the arrival of Queen Margrethe II.

Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister Shirley Ayorkor Bortwey says the visiting Danish delegation came along with 39 business owners to create jobs for economic growth.

Before they arrived at the Flagstaff House, Ms. Ayorkor Bortwey had engaged her Danish counterpart, Anders Samuelsen, in discussions; expressing optimism that Ghana would benefit immensely from improved relations between Accra and Copenhagen.

Other Danish ministers – including those in charge of the Environment and Food – as well as entrepreneurs in various fields were present at the Flagstaff meeting.

At the end of the first meeting, there was consensus that Ghana and Denmark would concentrate on trade and investment; peace and security; and maritime agriculture, among other ventures.
