Control your anger for successful marriage-Counsellor urges couples

A marriage counsellor and a Reverend Minister of the Baptist Church, Pastor Albert Ampofo Krampah has advised couples to tolerate each other and endeavour to control their anger for strengthened union and successful marriages.

He said marriage was a divinely-created institution but a life time affair, which required spiritual maturity and sense of endurance.

“The youth must therefore, not rush into it but rather organise themselves well by ensuring strong spiritual and sufficient material preparation before entering into a marriage, the Counsellor urged.

Pastor Krampah, the Head Pastor of the Kumasi-based Baptist International Worship Centre (BIWC,) gave the advice when he spoke on the theme: “Before, Now and After the Married” at a three-day singles and couples forum, organised by the Calvary Baptist Church at the New Town Extension, a suburb in Sunyani.

“We must be patient and prepare ourselves adequately, because marriage is a divine union between men and women and not boys and girls”, he emphasised.

Pastor Krampah observed that the rate of divorces and broken homes were surging nowadays, because many couples did not take their time and understand each other before entering into their marriages.

He said with communication, endurance and prayer by couples, marriage as a divine institution would succeed, and advised couples to desist from unnecessary naggings but endeavour to share and care for each other.

Pastor Krampah stressed that sacrifice, forgiveness and unconditional love were key traits required to sustain marriages and thus, entreated couples to effectively cultivate and apply them as indispensable requirements for successful marriage lives.
