Consul-General visits Amoateng regularly

The minister for foreign affairs, NEPAD and regional co-operation, Nana Akufo-Addo has said that Ghana?s Consul-General in USA has been paying regular visits to Hon. Eric Amoateng.

The Member of Parliament for Nkoranza North Constituency, who was arrested in the USA last November for allegedly dealing in narcotic drugs, is being held in a NY jail.

Akufo-Addo added that since no court of competent jurisdiction in the USA has pronounced Amoateng guilty, people should be very careful on their pronouncements on the matter.
