Constraints of 66 Artillery Regiment to be resolved

Ho, July 29, GNA - Lieutenant Colonel Francis Vib-Sanziri, Deputy Army Secretary on Wednesday said the Office of the Chief of Army Staff had taken note of the constraints of the 66 Artillery Regiment and would do its best to resolve them. He said the office would also do its best to strengthen the Regiment to perform its traditional role and protect life and property. Lt. Col. Vib-Sanziri was briefing the press after he had accompanied the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Joseph Narh Adinkrah, on a familiarization visit to the Regiment in Ho. He noted that the Regiment was ahead in terms of operations and logistics and urged the Command to keep up the good works. Lt. Col. Vib-Sanziri reminded the personnel that the Military was subject to civilian authority and urged them to remain loyal to the nation.

He conveyed the Chief of Army Staff's high commendation to the 66 Artillery Regiment, adding; "The Chief of Army Staff is highly impressed of the outlook of the Barracks and very excited over the general state of affairs here".

The Chief of Army Staff was taken round the Volta Barracks where he inspected some completed and on-going projects and the general environment. He also paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Colonel Cyril Necku (Rtd), at the Regional Coordinating Council, where the deputy minister appealed for troops to be stationed at Kpassa to control conflicts. 29 July 09
