Benewaa Emmanuella, a twin from Techiman Amoma in the Bono East Region, has accused her company director, Benjamin Boateng, of refusing to take responsibility for her pregnancy.

Speaking in an interview on Sompa Nkoma, hosted by renowned Ghanaian media personality Oheneni Adazoa, Benewaa explained that her troubles began after relocating from Techiman to Accra to work in a pure water factory.

“After secondary school, I needed to work, so I moved to Accra. The factory provided accommodation and I stayed there. I had issues with some staff members and wanted to report them to the manager but instead I met the director.

‘He settled the matter and later asked for my number. He told me he liked me but I refused. And he was like once he has told me definitely, I will let someone know so I have to agree by force. He threatened that if I told anyone he would kill me…sometimes he called me to his office or took me to his uncompleted house to sleep with me,” she narrated.

Benewaa revealed that she eventually entered into a relationship with Boateng, who made numerous promises but failed to fulfill them.

“I had 6,000 cedis and asked the manager for 2,000 cedis to add so I could rent a kiosk. The director later claimed he was the one who instructed the manager to give me the money. I realized he was only using me, so I returned to Techiman and stopped working,” she said.

She added that she later became pregnant but Boateng refused to take responsibility. In her frustration, she released his intimate videos to get his attention to do the needful.

“He told me I had no proof of what he was doing to me. So, I decided to record him while he was naked, and also times that he was having an affair with me, sucking my breast and also cleaning his penis after sex with a towel. Afterward, he failed to support me and later had me arrested at Techiman and I was taken to the Accra Central Police station and I was detaining from Friday till Tuesday before they released me, claiming I was blackmailing him.

“When I got pregnant, he said he wasn’t responsible and would only do a DNA test after the child was born. Out of frustration, I posted the videos to some of the staff at the company and he had me arrested again,” she explained.

Boateng, when contacted, admitted to having a relationship with Benewaa but insisted the child was not his.

“She posted my nude videos everywhere and that is why I had her arrested. I will not forgive her. I am waiting for her to give birth so I can proceed to court after a DNA test proves whether the child is mine or not,” he stated.

The case is being handled by the Accra Central Police Station.
