Confirmed! Nana Frimpomaa to be CPP running-mate

RadioXYZonline.com can confirm that the flagbearer of the Conventions People’s Party (CPP) is expected to unveil Nana Akosua Frimpomaa II, the Dwantoahemaa of Dormaa Traditional Council in the Brong Ahafo Region, as his runningmate.

Dr. Abu Sakara Foster who was said to be strongly considering the party’s Ablekuma South parliamentary candidate, Dede Amanor-Wilks, finally settled on the queenmother who also has some roots from the Ashanti Region.

RadioXYZonline.com reported earlier that the executive council of the CPP were in a crunch meeting with the flagbearer to settle on the running-mate. Prof. Agyemang Badu Akorsa whose name came up earlier in the race was shoved off as the party looked to settle on a female candidate.

Nana Akosua Frimpomaa is also the founder of Caring Kids International, a non-governmental organisation. She recently came to the studios of Radio XYZ where she espoused her passion for education and need for government to make education free.

The flagbearer of the CPP is expected to unveil the candidate at a Press Soiree at the Alisa Hotel at 3:30 pm.

Nana Frimpomaa might have to relinquish her position as queenmother if she accepts the offer to be the party's runningmate.
