Concern about abandoned educational projects

Begoro(ER), July 2, GNA - Stakeholders have expressed concern about abandoned educational projects after completion in Fanteakwa District. They contended that pupils expected to utilise the projects continued to attend classes in dilapidated structures. Some of the abandoned projects are, Adjeikrom District Assembly Junior High School(JHS), Heman Presbyterian Primary and Bososu teacher's quarters.

The stakeholders expressed the concern at a day's review meeting of Government Accountability Improves Trust (GAIT II) at Begoro. The project is an affiliate of USAID to improve on education delivery in the district.

They appealed to Fanteakwa District Assembly to inaugurate the projects for their utilization to enhance effective teaching and learning.

Mr Julius Azumah, Fanteakwa District Technical Assistant on GAIT II project, deplored the attitude of parents in the provision of basic educational needs for their children. 02 July 08
